Humboldt boys win Umstead Relays at Eagle Grove

The Humboldt boys track team claimed the Eagle Grove Umstead Relays team title on Tuesday (April 14). The Wildcats' Tony Nielsen won the 200-meters title and Tyler McKibban took the discus crown. Trevor Satern also won the 400-meter hurdles. Wildcat girls soccer team blanks Storm Lake, 1-0

Humboldt's varsity girls' soccer team picked up their first win of the season by shutting out Storm Lake, 1-0 on April 13 at Storm Lake.Humboldt opened their season on April 6 in a 4-0 loss to Iowa Falls-Alden in a contest in Iowa Falls. Humboldt boys upended by Cadets in soccer opener, 3-0

The Humboldt varsity boys' soccer team opened their season at Iowa Falls-Alden Monday night (April 6) and dropped a 3-0 contest to the Cadets. Humboldt's home contest with Fort Dodge today (April 7) has been postponed due to inclement weather. No new date has been established. The Wildcats fell at Clear Lake on April 10, 10-0, and dropped a 7-0 contest at home to Webster City on April 13. Wildcat girls' track team 4th at Hampton

Humboldt won the 4x800 and 4x400 relays en route to a fourth-place finish among 17 schools in the Hampton-Dumont Relays on April 10 in Hampton. Osage won the team title with 132 points. Charles City (92) and St. Ansgar (69.5) finished ahead of Humboldt (64). The 4x400 relay consisted of Maddie Kampen, Olivia Hildreth, Gabby Kent and Beth Duffield while the 4x800 included the same foursome.Humboldt will run at Algona on April 14 at 5 p.m.See full story in the Humboldt Independent Newspaper. Wildcat girls win golf opener, place 2nd at Perry

The Humboldt High girls' golf team won their season opener at Pocahontas on Friday (April 10), winning with a low score of 195. Pocahontas Area shot 249. Savannah Schnetzer's 41 and a 50 by Brooke Anderson paced the Wildcats, who placed 2nd in the Perry Invitational on Saturday.
