HHS boys 2nd in golf triangular at Lakeside

Humboldt's varsity boys' golf team finished second in a three-team meet at Lakeside Golf Course north of Fort Dodge Friday night. Host St. Edmond won the meet with 159 strokes. Humboldt shot 163 and Hampton-Dumont finished with 192. Andy Nelson shot a 37 to lead Humboldt. He was runner-up medalist.See full story in the Humboldt Independent Newspaper. Humboldt girls win NCC golf title!

Humboldt's varsity girls' golf team capped a perfect run through the 2016 North Central Conference season by wrapping up the conference title with a triangular win at Hampton on April 29.Humboldt shot 205 to down Hampton-Dumont (239) and Fort Dodge St. Edmond (289). Brooke Anderson shot a 49 and Avery Terwilliger added a 51 to lead Humboldt and all golfers.Humboldt's JV also capped a perfect 9-0 season mark and went unbeaten in conference play with their victory at Hampton.See full story in the Humboldt Independent Newspaper. Mason City shuts out Wildcat boys, 3-0

Mason City scored an early goal in the first half and then added two more goals in the second half en route to a 3-0 shutout victory over Humboldt Thursday night (April 28) in high school boys' soccer in Humboldt.
