Berry returns as Dakota City Clerk

Angelique Berry was hired Monday as the new Dakota City Clerk, a position she vacated 10 months ago. Berry said she is very happy to be back in her hometown and working for the residents of Dakota City.

By Kent Thompson
You can go home again. Just ask Angelique Berry, a Dakota City native and longtime city clerk, who found herself back in familiar surroundings last Friday at Dakota City Hall.
Berry, who served as Dakota City Clerk for 10 years, from the spring of 2007 to the spring of 2017, is returning to the city clerk’s position in the Humboldt County seat community after a 10-month absence.
“I liked my job in Algona, but I loved my job here. I wouldn’t have left except having an opportunity with another municipal government in the town where I was living,” said Berry.
