New church being built on city's north side

Pastor Dennis Niles and his wife, Joan, and a few members of Lifegate Fellowship Church, are shown breaking ground for their new church being built at the intersection of Highway 169 and 16th Avenue North in Humboldt. Humboldt Independent photo.

Lifegate Fellowship, Humboldt’s newest church, broke ground on a new 9,300 square foot church in a groundbreaking ceremony on Wednesday, Aug. 19.
The church is being built on a 2.4 acre site at the southwest intersection of Highway 169 and 16th Avenue North in Humboldt (south of Xtreme Auto).
Groundwork is under way, but actual construction of the facility will start in the spring. Lead Pastor Dennis Niles said the 70-foot by 130-foot building is phase 1 of the project. The church will be built with expansion in mind with plans to eventually add an educational wing to the south end and make the building “L” shaped.
