Sexe to retire as Ambulance Director

After 34 years as Ambulance Director at Humboldt County Memorial Hospital, Mike Sexe is turning in his pager. He’ll remain in his position as Materials Management Director at the hospital.

After 34 years of leading the ambulance service for Humboldt County Memorial Hospital, Mike Sexe is giving up his pager.
Sexe is retiring from his position as Ambulance Director, but will continue as Materials Management Director for the hospital. He will also continue as a death investigator for the Medical Examiner’s office, which he’s done for nearly 20 years.
“Both the Materials Management Department and the Ambulance Service have grown tremendously. There is a need to separate the departments. I chose to stay with Materials Management and retire from EMS completely. The EMS department is in a good spot. The new person will take it over and improve it. We have the equipment, the facility and the people to make things happen,” Sexe said. See the entire story in this week's Humboldt Independent.
