Humboldt School Superintendent Jim Murray will continue to be quite busy over the next month as he works to hire new administrative and teaching staff for the 2023-24 school year.
Personnel moves were among the highlights at the regular monthly meeting of the Humboldt Board of Education Monday night, Feb. 20.
Among the action items include the hiring of Ryan O’Hern as grades 7-12 activities director for next year. O’Hern replaces Greg Thomas, who is retiring at the end of the current school year.
O’Hern, an Eagle Grove native, is currently teaching and coaching in the West Burlington School District. He also has a three-year stint on his resume as activities director at Iowa City Regina.
The board approved the transfer of Tiffany Wurth from high school band teacher to high school instructional coach for the 2023-24 school year.
