Wildcats place 6 on All-NCC baseball team

A total of six players on the Humboldt High School baseball team have been named to the North Central All-Conference team by the league coaches.First-team selections for the Wildcats include junior pitcher Brenden Schnell, junior pitcher Chris Witzke and junior shortstop Austin Zylstra. Second-team picks include sophomore second baseman Brady Shelgren and junior left fielder Connor Vitzthum. Senior catcher/centerfielder Dillon Fevold was named third-team.The Wildcats finished 23-7 overall in 2014, 12-5 and third in the NCC standings. They ended the season ranked No. 10 and advanced to a substate final where they fell 3-2 to state qualifier Algona.See complete story in the Humboldt Independent.
