Wildca girls fall at Boone in regional semifinal

The Humboldt High volleyball team ended their season Thursday night (Oct. 30) in a 3-0 loss to No. 10 rated Boone in a Class 4A Region 5 semifinal round match in Boone. The Wildcats fell by scores of 25-20, 25-14 and 25-18. Humboldt ends the year with an overall record of 23-9. Boone advances into a regional final where they will face either Charles City or Waverly-Shell Rock on Nov. 4 in Webster City.Humboldt opened Class 4A Regional Tournament play in successful fashion by sweeping the Webster City Lynx in three sets Monday night (Oct. 27) in the Humboldt gym. The Wildcats won by scores of 25-15, 25-13 and 25-14. Humboldt, 23-8, advanced into a regional semifinal at Boone on Thursday, Oct. 30, against No. 10 ranked Boone which drew a first round bye.
