Big 2nd half lifts Cardinals past Humboldt, 34-16

Garner-Hayfield/Ventura put together a big second half, aided by Humboldt turnovers, to gain a 34-16 victory over the Wildcats in non-district football at Garner on Friday night (Sept. 4).Humboldt led 16-7 at halftime as Drew Thomas scored on an 11-yard run and passed to Colton Monson for another score. Humboldt also scored on a safety.The Wildcats, now 0-2 on the season, begin district play at home on Friday, Sept. 11, when they host Boone.
