Algona girls hold off Humboldt, 44-31

A one-point second quarter drought proved to be costly for the Humboldt High girls' basketball team Tuesday night (Feb. 9) in a 44-31 loss to the Algona Bulldogs in the Humboldt gym. The loss dropped Humboldt's record to 12-8 on the season, 9-5 in North Central Conference play. Senior Talyn Larsen scored 14 points to lead Humboldt. Abby Zaugg was next with eight.
