Simms wraps up his wrestling career at SDSU

Wrestling since age six, 22-year-old Brance Simms is calling it a career on the mat. Simms, a Gilmore City native and former Twin River Valley and Humboldt High School standout, recently completed his fourth and final season on the South Dakota State University wrestling squad. Simms, the regular 133-pounder in the Jackrabbits’ lineup, came up short in his bid to qualify for the NCAA Division I-A National Championships after he went 0-2 in the Big 12 Conference Tournament Mar. 5-6 in Kansas City.See full story in this week's Humboldt Independent Newspaper.
