Mooney leads HHS girls' soccer in year 4

Year number four unfolds for Humboldt High girls’ soccer with Rodd Mooney taking over the reins. Mooney replaces Christiane Lessa, who guided the Wildcats in their first three years. Humboldt returns 13 letterwinners from last year’s squad that posted a 4-10 overall record. Mooney entered the season with 35 athletes on the squad. “I’m excited for the opportunity. We’ve been putting some time in on the field and it’s been fun to get to know different girls, and even some of the same girls from other sports in different capacities,” said Mooney, who also serves as head girls’ basketball coach."See full story in this week's Humboldt Independent Newspaper.
