Rebuilding year in store for Wildcat boys golf

Graduation losses were heavy for the Humboldt High boys’ golf team, which placed fourth in the Class 3A state golf tournament last year. The Wildcats return just two lettermen from last year’s squad, which also finished runner-up in a power-laden North Central Conference meet. Needless to say, Humboldt veteran head coach Scott Birdsell has a rebuilding job ahead of him. “Because we go into the season with an inexperienced team, we will need to rely heavily on our two senior lettermen,” Birdsell said.
