HUMBOLDT GIRLS WIN REGIONAL TITLE, RETURN TO STATE GOLF!!

The Humboldt High girls golf team is returning to the Class 3A state tournament after they claimed the team title in a regional tournament at Clarion today (May 24). Humboldt claimed first-place by shooting 372. MOC-Floyd Valley was runner-up with 383. Gilbert (402) and Clarion-Goldfield-Dows (408) round out the team scoring.

Avery Terwilliger shot a 90 to lead Humboldt. Halie George followed with a 91 while Brooke Anderson shot 93. Olivia Birdsell shot 98. Brenna Howard had a 98 and Taylor Gidel carded 101. Terwilliger was third individually and George was fourth. The top two teams and the top five individuals advance to the state tournament to be held May 31-June 1 in Ames.
