Humboldt man injured in bike/vehicle crash

A Humboldt man is recovering from injuries received in a vehicle/bicycle accident that occurred on Wednesday, June 29, at 2:09 p.m.
The accident occurred at the intersection of A Street and 1st Avenue South in Humboldt.
According to a report filed by the Iowa State Patrol (ISP), a 2014 Nissan Murano driven by Gloria Christensen, 56, Humboldt, was southbound on A Street, a one-way street going south. As Christensen turned east, merging onto 1st Avenue South, her vehicle struck a bicycle driven by Marvin Grebner, 81, Humboldt.
Grebner was taken by Humboldt County Memorial Hospital (HCMH) Ambulance to HCMH for initial treatment and was then airlifted to UnityPoint Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines with a serious head injury.
According to the nursing staff at Iowa Methodist, Grebner was listed in fair condition Thursday morning, June 30.
