Humboldt girls fall to No. 12 Kuemper, 7-3

The No. 8 ranked Humboldt High softball team saw their season come to an end Wednesday night in a Class 3A Region 8 tournament game in Humboldt. No. 12 ranked Kuemper Catholic of Carroll jumped on Humboldt for a 2-0 lead in the first inning and went on to post a 7-3 victory over the Wildcats. Humboldt bows out with an overall record of 26-7. Kuemper, 23-11, advances into a region semifinal round game against Pocahontas Area on July 8. Pocahontas Area ousted Southeast Valley, 6-2 in another first round contest.
