Wildcat baseball team caps perfect NCC season!

The Humboldt baseball team capped a perfect, unbeaten season in North Central Conference play by rallying past Algona, 12-10 on Monday (July 11) in Algona. Humboldt scored six runs in the seventh inning to rally past the Bulldogs. Humboldt, 21-7 overall, 14-0 in the NCC, ends its regular season on the road Tuesday night (July 12) when they face Storm Lake. Humboldt begins Class 3A District tournament play on Friday, July 15, when they meet Iowa Falls-Alden in a 5 p.m. game in Algona. The winner will play Algona or Webster City on July 18 in Algona. The other half of the bracket has Boone hosting Greene County and Ballard Huxley playing Gilbert in Boone on Friday night, with a district final in Boone on July 18.
The substate final will be played on Wednesday, July 20, 7 p.m. in Boone.
