The Iowa High School Athletic Association released post-season tournament pairings today and the Humboldt High boys' basketball team will begin Class 3A district tournament play on Monday, Feb. 20, in an 8 p.m. game against Boone in Boone. The 6:30 p.m. game that night has Gilbert meeting Perry. The district final among the winners is Thursday, Feb. 23 in Boone.
The other half of the substate has Dallas Center-Grimes meeting Greene County (8 p.m.) and Webster City facing Ballard Huxley (6:30 p.m.) in the DCG gym in Grimes. The district final will be played in Grimes on Feb. 27 at 7 p.m.
The two remaining district champions will collide in a substate final game to be played in Johnston on Monday, Feb. 27, 7 p.m.
