Humboldt boys down Algona, fall to Carroll

Humboldt's varsity boys' basketball team got back on the winning track Friday night (Feb. 10) by stopping Algona, 64-50 inside the Algona gym. Devon Clark scored 19 points to power the Wildcats, who avenged a loss to the Bulldogs 15 days earlier. On Monday, Feb. 13, Humboldt visited Carroll and fell to the Tigers in non-conference play, 66-47. Clark scored 11 points and Ryan Courtney made 10 to lead Humboldt.

The Wildcats, 8-12 overall, 5-9 in North Central Conference play, wrap up their regular season at home on Thursday, Feb. 16, when they play host to Storm Lake in a JV-varsity doubleheader starting at 6:15 p.m. Humboldt begins Class 3A district tournament play on Monday, Feb. 20, in an 8 p.m. game at Boone.
