Humboldt qualifies 4 wrestlers to state!

The Humboldt High School wrestling team qualified four individuals into this week's upcoming Class 2A state tournament after competing in a district tournament in Webster City on Saturday (Feb. 11).

Wildcats advancing to state include Cresten Craven at 120 pounds (2nd in district), Joey Busse at 138 pounds (2nd in district), Jaden Kampen at 152 pounds (1st in district) and Gus Arnold at 160 pounds (2nd in district). Wildcats who saw their state tournament bids fall short include Justin Jones at 285 (3rd in district), Elijah Torres at 145 pounds (3rd in district) and Zach Kollmorgen at 126 pounds (4th in district).

The Class 2A first round state tournament begins on Thursday, Feb. 16, 6 p.m. inside Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines.
