Humboldt girl/boy track teams open at BVU indoor meet

The Humboldt High girl/boy track teams opened their season last Friday (Mar. 17) by competing in the Buena Vista University indoor meet.

The Humboldt boys were led by the shuttle hurdle relay, which placed third in 37.38 seconds. Trevor Satern, Eli Sande, Drew Thomas and Colton Monson comprised the relay.

The Humboldt girls were led by Bryce Gidel in the 1,500-meters, who ran third in 5:11.47. Humboldt's 4x800 relay of Olivia Hildreth, Kate Curran, Beth Duffield and Gabby Kent ran third in 10:41.55.

Humboldt opens its outdoor season on April 4 when the boys visit Eagle Grove and the girls travel to Clear Lake.
