Humboldt girls top E-Hawk golfers

Avery Terwilliger was meet medalist with a 44 to lead Humboldt past Emmetsburg 187-195 in non-conference girls’ golf at Humboldt Counry Club on April 24.
Brooke Anderson followed Terwilliger with a 46, Olivia Birdsell shot 46 and Halie George carded 51. Frances Carlson (52) and Kelly Boleyn (53) followed.
Humboldt won the JV meet, 226-238. Brenna Howard shot a 52 to lead all golfers. Maggie Bennett shot 55, Morgan Nehring 59 and Madi Frideres 60. Macy Becker (61) and Abi Collins (70) followed.
Humboldt will compete in another conference triangular on Friday, April 28, at Lakeside Golf Course north of Fort Dodge against Fort Dodge St. Edmond and Hampton-Dumont. The Wildcats also will golf in the Clarion-Goldfield-Dows tournament at Clarmond Gold Course north of Clarion on Saturday, April 29. The Wildcats also host Fort Dodge on May 2.
