Kelsey Peters places 2nd in Class 3A state discus!!

Humboldt High senior track standout Kelsey Peters earned a runner-up finish in the discus competition in the Class 3A State Track and Field Championships on Thursday (May 18) in Des Moines. Peters threw a career best 128-feet 10-inches in the championship flight.

Also on Thursday, teammate Bryce Gidel ran fifth in the 3,000 meters in 10:29.30. Ryan Courtney placed 17th in the 3,200 meters.

Also on opening day, the Wildcat boys' shuttle hurdle relay placed 10th overall. The relay includes Trevor Satern, Tyler Vitzthum, Eli Sande and Colton Monson.
