Humboldt baseball team tops Ogden, 11-8

Owen Newton's home run over the leftfield fence in the bottom of the 10th inning lifted the Humboldt baseball team to an 11-8 victory over Ogden on Friday (May 26) night in Humboldt. The non-conference win improved Humboldt's season record to 2-1 overall.

HUMBOLDT 9, CHEROKEE 3
Humboldt got back on the winning track by stopping Cherokee, 9-3 on Thursday night (May 25) in Humboldt. The triumph was the 300th career victory for Wildcat head coach Jason Thurm. Devon Clark earned the win on the mound and eighth grader Colby Clarken came in with bases loaded and pitched one inning of relief to preserve the win for Humboldt, 1-1 on the season.

EAST SAC COUNTY 15, WILDCATS 3
The Humboldt boys' baseball team dropped their season opener at home Tuesday night (May 23), falling 15-3 to East Sac County in non-conference play.

The Wildcats will play two games in the Remsen St. Mary's tournament on Saturday.
