HUMBOLDT GIRLS WIN 4A STATE GOLF CHAMPIONSHIP!!!

Humboldt capped a storybook season by winning the Class 4A state golf championship on Wednesday (May 31) in Marshalltown at Elmwood Country Club. Humboldt finished the two-day meet with a total of 736 strokes, topping runner-up Dubuque Wahlert by nine strokes. Wahlert, which led by three shots after day one (368-371), finished with 745. Washington was third at 767.

Humboldt senior Brooke Anderson was third overall individually with a 177 total. Avery Terwilliger shot 182, Halie George 187 and Frances Carlson 190.

It is the third state title in school history for Humboldt, which also won state titles in 1985 and 1987.
