Lucas Boyd wins George Lee Memorial Golf Tournament

Lucas Boyd of West Des Moines fired a 107 to win the George Lee Memorial Golf Tournament at Humboldt Country Club on Saturday (June 3). Boyd, a native of Pella, edged Jeff Johannsen, who shot a 109. Jim Nygren and Neil Doak, both of Cedar Falls, followed with 111. Boyd had shot a 34 on the second round and entered the championship flight in first place at 70. He shot 37 in the championship round.
