HHS girls pound E'burg, boys edge Forest City

Humboldt's softball and baseball teams went on the road Tuesday night (June 6) and picked up a pair of non-conference victories.

The Wildcat softball team moved to 10-0 on the season with a14-4 victory over Emmetsburg. Avery Terwilliger pitched a seven-hitter and Humboldt clubbed 14 hits. Ellie Jacobson was 4-for-4 at bat and Kelsey Peters hit a 3-run home run.

The Wildcat baseball team improved to 8-4 overall by edging Forest City, 3-2. Humboldt scored the go-ahead run in the top of the sixth inning to edge the Indians.

Both teams will return to North Central Conference play on Wednesday, June 7, when they host Algona.
