Wildcat baseball team in 9-2 victory over Bulldogs

Humboldt's varsity baseball team evened its North Central Conference record at 5-5 by stopping Hampton-Dumont, 9-2 Monday night (June 26) in Humboldt. Devon Clark pitched a 3-hitter and had three hits to power the Wildcats, who improved to 12-9 on the season.

Humboldt snapped a five-game losing skid by ripping Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn, 17-3 on June 24 in the Estherville-LC tournament. The Wildcats were coming off a 5-4 loss to ELC in the first game Saturday, as well as a 7-1 home loss to Iowa Falls-Alden the night before.

The Wildcats visit North Union on June 28. They play at Algona on June 29. HHS visits Clarion on Friday, June 30.
