The Humboldt/Dakota City Chamber of Commerce is celebrating its new downtown location and the opening of the Humboldt/Dakota City Welcome Center at 627 Sumner Ave.
There will be a special grand opening celebration Friday, July 21 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The public is invited to stop in for refreshments, see the new office and welcome center and find out more about Chamber programs and activities.
People can stop by to register to win local prizes and gift cards at the grand opening. They can also sign up for the 2017 Chamber Golf Outing on Friday, Aug. 4, at the Humboldt Country Club.
“The Chamber has noticed a need within the community to get more information about Humboldt County, as well as the what the community has to offer business-wise,” Chamber Director Jenna Mulford said.
“I think having a central location, not only for the community, but for people visiting, gives us an opportunity to spotlight our unique businesses and historical points of interest that make Humboldt County a great place to visit and enjoy,” Mulford added.
Regular hours of operation for the Welcome Center are 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Mondays through Wednesdays, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Thursdays and Fridays, and by appointment on Saturdays, between the hours of 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
