Residents will have the opportunity to share their ideas for improving Humboldt at a design workshop hosted by the Humboldt Visioning Committee at Iowa State University Extension and Outreach. The workshop is planned for next Wednesday, July 19, and will be open to the public at the Iowa State Extension and Outreach offices at 727 Sumner Ave., from 1-6 p.m.
The workshop is the culmination of an input-gathering process to identify transportation needs and opportunities for enhancements in Humboldt. Information collected at public input gathering events conducted earlier this spring will be incorporated into a conceptual transportation and landscape enhancement plan.
A design team will be working at the Extension office throughout the workshop to develop a conceptual plan that meets the goals and needs of Humboldt. The public is invited to stop by from 1-6 p.m. on Wednesday, July 19, to provide input on the designs.
Results from focus-group workshops and the random-sample transportation survey that were conducted last winter and spring, will also be available.
The workshop will conclude with a reception and review of the preliminary designs created during the workshop.
The reception/review will be from 6-7 p.m. at the Iowa State University Extension and Outreach office, 727 Sumner Ave., and is open to the public.
