2017 Humboldt County Fair rolls out

2017 Humboldt High School graduates Kate Curran (left) and Keagan Burmeister (right) will vie for the title of Humboldt County Fair Queen. The Fair will begin Tuesday, July 25, and run through Sunday, July 30, at the Humboldt County Fairgrounds in Humboldt.

A pair of candidates will be vying for 2017 Humboldt County Fair Queen, Keagan Burmeister and Kate Curran.
The actual competition (open to the public) will be July 21 at 9 a.m. at the Humboldt County Extension Office in downtown Humboldt.
Coronation of the 2017 Humboldt County Fair Queen will be the evening of July 26 during the Humboldt County Fair.
The queen will receive a $1,000 scholarship from Humboldt Mutual Insurance Association among other prizes.
The 2017 Humboldt County Fair will be held July 25-30. Next Generation Shows has expanded the carnival each year and plans to bring even more rides this year. Next Generation will also offer free face painting once again.
Grandstand entertainment starts with harness racing on Tuesday night, Fair Queen coronation, Little Miss and Mister and 4-H Fashion Review on Wednesday night, The Sound Exchange a cappella group performing on Thursday night, the Lucas Oil Tractor and Pickup Pull on Friday night, Chuckwagon races on Saturday night followed by entertainment by the band “Farm Rock,” motocross races Sunday morning and the popular Tough Truck competition on Sunday night.
There is no charge for grandstand events Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday nights.
