Bidding on art items in the “Have a Heart for Art,” the 12th annual Humboldt Area Art Council (HAAC) fundraiser, should be a bit easier this year.
Art will be available for purchase via an online auction from Oct. 26-Nov. 12.
Auction items will be on display at the Humboldt Masonic Lodge building, 509 Sumner Avenue, on Thursday, Oct. 26, from 5-7 p.m., which is during Harvest Moon Madness in downtown Humboldt. The art auction items will also be available for viewing one hour prior to “Dial M for Murder” performances on Thursday, Nov. 9, Friday, Nov. 10 and Sunday, Nov. 12 at the Masonic Lodge. The 7-8 p.m. time period on Nov. 9-10 and 2-3 p.m. on Nov. 12 is being called “Have a Heart for Art” Happy Hour. The Happy Hour is open to anyone regardless if they are attending the performance or not.
Currently, donations of original art items are being sought as well as gift baskets or items to donate towards a gift basket. Deadline for submitting art and basket items is Oct. 17. Original art donations and gift baskets can be dropped off at Witz End or First State Bank.
Bidding will start Oct. 26 and end at 3 p.m. on Nov. 12, at which time successful bidders can pick up their items at the Humboldt Masonic Lodge.
