8 Wildcats named to 3A-1 all-district football team

The Humboldt High football team has eight players selected to the coaches' all-district team in Class 3A District One. Their selections were announced by Wildcat head coach Greg Thomas at the team's potluck dinner banquet on Nov. 6.
First-team picks for the Wildcats include junior running back Tyler Vitzthum, sophomore wide receiver Jamison Heinz, junior defensive end Jack Arndt and junior defensive tackle Owen Terwilliger. Honorable mention selections include senior linebacker Hunter Egdorf, junior defensive tackle Justin Jones, junior offensive lineman Owen Newton and junior safety Sawyer Savery.
