Cougars upend Humboldt girls, 42-25

Humboldt's young girls basketball team came up short in another non-conference game on Nov. 28, falling 42-25 at Manson-Northwest Webster. Jori Hajek scored nine points to spark the Wildcats, who fell to 0-3 on the season. Mady Lange and Jayda Hoefer each had three for the Wildcats. Sophie Herzberg led the Cougars (2-1) with 11 points.

GARRIGAN TOPS WILDCAT GIRLS, 52-40
The Humboldt girls basketball team pushed Algona Bishop Garrigan for three quarters before falling 52-40 in non-conference play in the Humboldt gym Monday night (Nov. 27).

Sydney Lane scored 18 points to lead Humboldt. Cassie Peyton added eight points and Mady Lange had seven for the Wildcats, who slipped to 0-2 in the season. The Wildcats return to action on Tuesday, Dec. 5, when they host Algona in their North Central Conference opener.
