Wildcat wrestlers win Joe Fitch Invitational title!

The Humboldt wrestling team crowned two champions en route to winning the team title of its own Joe Fitch Invitational tournament held on Friday, Dec. 1 inside the Humboldt gym. The Wildcats totaled 244.5 points to claim the top spot in the team standings. Emmetsburg was runner-up at 235 with Sheldon-South O'Brien third at 225.5. Atlantic (202), Pocahontas Area (192), Forest City (145), Kuemper Catholic (74) and Aplington-Parkersburg (58) round out the team scoring.

Joey Busse won the 152-pound class and Cresten Craven won the 120-pound weight class to lead Humboldt. The Wildcats got runner-up finishes from Justin Jones at 285, Hunter Egdorf at 195 and Levi Naeve at 170.
