Humboldt girls hold off Webster City for first win, 34-31

Humboldt earned its first win of the season Friday night (Dec. 8) in Webster City by holding off the Webster City Lynx, 34-31 in North Central Conferenmce girls basketball. The victory improved the Wildcats' season record to 1-4 overall, 1-1 in conference play.

Algona downs Humboldt girls, 62-36

Conference leader Algona visited the Humboldt gym Tuesday night (Dec. 5) and handed the Wildcat girls’ basketball team a 62-36 loss in North Central Conference action. Mady Lange scored 9 points and Sydney Lane had 6 to lead Humboldt’s scoring. The loss dropped the Wildcats to 0-4 overall, 0-1 in conference play.

Humboldt returns to action at home on Dec. 12 against Fort Dodge St. Edmond.
