Grand opening planned for new W&H location

A Grand Opening celebration is planned for Monday, Dec. 11, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the new headquarters of W & H Cooperative, 1021 16th Avenue North, in Humboldt.
Lunch will be served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., followed by the W & H Cooperative Annual Meeting at 1:30 p.m. Those attending the Grand Opening will have the chance to sign up for several door prizes. Members of the cooperative will be able to pick up their dividend checks during the lunch.
Construction on the new 9,000 square foot office and shop area began in February and they moved in on Aug. 24.
W&H Cooperative General Manager Jim Pauk said the Cooperative is making about a $750,000 investment in the community with the new headquarters. The new building is highly energy efficient, the layout is designed for more efficiency for staff, and the building better meets the needs of today’s office and shop area.
