Humboldt boys tumble at Clarion, 77-61

Clarion-Goldfield-Dows finished the first half with a 10-1 run and went on to down Humboldt, 77-61 in a boys' North Central Conference basketball game in Clarion Friday night (Feb. 2). Calvin Carlson scored 14 points to lead the Wildcats, who fell to 6-11 overall, 5-7 in the NCC. Sam Urness scored 23 to pace the Cowboys.

WILDCAT BOYS IN 57-28 VICTORY OVER BULLDOGS
Humboldt's varsity boys' basketball team snapped a four-game losing streak by running past Hampton-Dumont, 57-28 Tuesday night (Jan. 30) in Hampton. Calvin Carlson scored 16 points, Hudson Gargano made 10 and Jacob Thurm had eight to pace the Wildcats, who also defeated the Bulldogs at home back on Dec. 19. The victory improved Humboldt to 6-10 overall, 5-6 in the North Central Conference.

The Wildcats will visit Iowa Falls on Tuesday, Feb. 6, and host Algona on Friday, Feb. 9.
