Wildcat girls in 37-25 loss at Clarion

Humboldt’s varsity girls basketball team came up on the short end of a 37-25 final score in Clarion Friday night, Feb. 2. Jori Hajek scored 9 points to lead Humboldt, which fell to 5-14 overall, 4-9 in conference play.

WILDCATS IN 49-43 LOSS AT HAMPTON
Hampton-Dumont avenged an early season loss to Humboldt by posting a 49-43 victory over the Wildcats Tuesday night (Jan. 30) in Hampton. The Bulldogs had lost 49-36 to Humboldt back on Dec. 19. Humboldt was led in scoring by Sydney Lane with 10 points and Cassie Peyton and Jori Hajek each with eight. Humboldt falls to 5-13 overall, 4-8 in the North Central Conference.

Humboldt will travel to Iowa Falls on Feb. 6 before returning home on Feb. 8 to host Belmond-Klemme in their final regular season home game. The Wildcats begin post-season tournament play at Algona on Saturday, Feb. 10, against Algona in a first round Region 2 contest which will begin at 7 p.m.
