Israel Lezama wants people to enjoy their meals and have a good time when they visit Cinco de Mayo, one of the community’s newest restaurants.
The Mexican restaurant is located at 1208 4th Ave. SW, site of the former Beach House restaurant, right next to the Humboldt County Farm Bureau office.
Lezama said the concept of running a good Tex-Mex restaurant, or any restaurant for that matter, is pretty simple.
“Keep the customer happy. The first goal is to please the customer. If you do that, they will leave happy and come back. If they are happy, they will tell others and that’s how you build the business,” Lezama said.
“Our concept is fresh and tasty food, cleanliness and a nice, friendly environment. When you put them all together, that’s a formula for success,” the owner said.
Hours are Monday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. and 11 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays.
