Dresser to be inducted into Brand Wrestling Hall of Fame

Humboldt native and current Iowa State University head wrestling coach Kevin Dresser will be inducted into the Glen Brand Wrestling Hall of Fame of Iowa on June 8, 2018, in Waverly.
The banquet and induction ceremony will take place at Prairie Links Golf & Event Center in Waverly, sponsored by the Dan Gable Wrestling Museum in Waterloo.
Dresser, a two-time state champion at Humboldt and a 1981 HHS graduate, was an NCAA Division I champion in 1986 and a two-time Big Ten Conference champion and two-time All-American at the University of Iowa.
Dresser compiled a career won-loss record of 89-16-1 at Iowa. He placed fourth at the N CAA championships as a junior in 1985 before winning the 142-pound title in 1986.
Other inductees will include Chris Bono, John Bowlsby, Tony Davis, Bob Roethler, Brad Smith, Keith Massey, Charlotte Bailey, Riley Banach and brothers Steve, Lou and Ed Banach.
