Wildcat boys 1st at Ida Grove, 2nd at I-35 Relays

Humboldt won three events and claimed the team title of the OABCIG Invitational at Ida Grove on April 19.
The Wildcats totaled 97 team points to surpass runner-up OABCIG with 92.
Denny Pederson won the 400 meters in 51.63 seconds while Quinton Orr claimed the 3,200 in 10:05. The sprint medley relay also won with a time of 1:41.28. Humboldt had numerous runner-up finishes to earn points.

2ND AT I-35 RELAYS
Humboldt won four events and finished second in the team scoring of the I-35 Relays in Truro on April 17 in high school boys' track.

Denny Pederson won both the 200 and 400 meters in 23.49 and 51.36 seconds, respectively. Owen Terwilliger won the shot put with a throw measuring 43-6 and the sprint medley relay was first in 1:41.10. The relay consisted of Tyler Vitzthum, Trevor Satern, Sawyer Savery and Cale Hundertmark.

The Wildcats run at Emmetsburg on April 24 and at Storm Lake on April 26. Another meet has been scheduled for Saturday, April 28 at Eagle Grove. It will be a girl-boy meet starting at 11 a.m.
