Wildcat girls blank Broncos, Cadets

No. 3 ranked Humboldt pushed their North Central Conference-leading record to 6-0 by blanking Iowa Falls-Alden, 12-0 in four innings on Friday night (June 8) in Humboldt. Carlie Thompson's RBI single scored the game-ending run with one out in the bottom of the fourth inning to power the Wildcats, now 13-0 overall on the season. Ellie Jacobson pitched a one-hitter for Humboldt.

The Wildcats moved to 12-0 overall Thursday night (June 7) by shutting out Belmond-Klemme, 13-0 at Belmond. Ashlyn Clark, Kyah Arnold, Rachel Darling and Ellie Jacobson each had two hits for Humboldt. Ellie Jacobson and Bae Arnold split the four-inning game from the pitching circle holding B-K to three hits.

Humboldt kept its perfect record intact on Wednesday night (June 6) in Algona by posting a 4-0 victory over the Bulldogs. Jori Hajek hit a two-run homer and Ashlyn Clark (double), Kyah Arnold and Mady Lange each had two hits for the Wildcats. Ellie Jacobson pitched seven innings of three-hit ball with eight strikeouts. The Wildcats improved to 5-0 in conference play with the win.

Next action for Humboldt is Monday, June 11 at Clarion-Goldfield-Dows.
