Humboldt boys shutout Cadets, 8-0

Humboldt got back on the winning track in North Central Conference baseball by shutting out Iowa Falls-Alden, 8-0 in Iowa Falls Friday night. Cade Witzke pitched six strong innings for the Wildcats, who improved to 9-10 overall, 5-3 in the NCC.

FDSE 7, Humboldt 6
The Humboldt High baseball team was unable to hold off a late rally by visiting Fort Dodge St. Edmond and suffered a 7-6 loss to the Gaels in Humboldt on June 21. The loss dropped the Wildcats' record to 8-10 overall, 4-3 in the North Central Conference.

Humboldt will play two games in the Estherville-Lincoln Central tournament on Saturday, June 23. They meet Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn in their first game at 12:30 p.m. Humboldt's game at Clear Lake on June 20 was rained out and will be made up on Thursday, July 5, at Clear Lake in a varsity-only game at 12 noon. Humboldt visits Hampton-Dumont on Monday, June 25.
