Wildcat girls in 3-1 victory at Boone

The No. 5 ranked Humboldt softball team improved to 21-2 on the season by stopping Boone, 3-1 on June 22 in Boone in an afternoon contest. The Wildcats scored all three of their runs in the top of the eighth inning. Carlie Thompson hit an RBI double and Jori Hajek hit a two-run homer to power the Wildcats. Ellie Jacobson pitched a five-hitter with four strikeouts.

Humboldt 5, Garrigan 1
Humboldt won their 20th game of the season Thursday night (June 21) by stopping Bishop Garrigan of Algona, 5-1 in Humboldt. Mady Lange went 2-for-3 at bat with a double and home run. Jori Hajek doubled and Ellie Jacobson singled twice. Jacobson earned the win pitching as she allowed six hits and struck out six.

Humboldt 7, FDSE 1
Humboldt High softball team made it a season sweep of Fort Dodge St. Edmond Tuesday night (June 19) by stopping the visiting Gaels, 7-1 in Humboldt. The victory improved Humboldt's record to 9-1 in the North Central Conference.
Ellie Jacobson pitched a four-hitter with eight strikeouts and Carlie Thompson was 2-for-3 at bat to lead Humboldt's six-hit attack. Mady Lange hit a three-run homer and Ashlyn Clark also scored twice for the Wildcats.

Humboldt will play in the Pella Christian tournament on Saturday, June 23, where they'll face No. 2 ranked Albia and Class 1A power Belle Plaine.
