Wildcat boys in 19-8 victory over Cowboys

Humboldt's varsity baseball team got back on top last Friday night (June 29) in Humboldt by drubbing Clarion-Goldfield-Dows, 19-8 in five innings. The Wildcats scored 11 runs in the bottom of the fifth inning to end the game early via the 10-run rule. Michael Brightly homered to lead the Humboldt batting order while Reese DeWinter earned the win pitching after entering in relief of starter Colby Clarken. Humboldt improved to 11-13 overall, 6-5 in the North Central Conference.

Algona 17, Wildcats 3
Algona scored five runs in the first inning and went on to upend the Humboldt baseball team, 17-3 in six innings Wednesday night (June 27) in Humboldt.

5-run 6th lifts Bulldogs over Wildcat boys, 7-4
Hampton-Dumont scored five runs in the bottom of the sixth inning to rally past Humboldt, 7-4 in North Central Conference baseball at Hampton on Monday, June 25. Jacob Thurm took the loss on the mound for the Wildcats.

Humboldt will travel to Webster City on Monday, July 2, for another NCC matchup with the Lynx. Humboldt plays at Manson on July 3.
