Lots of entertainment at 2018 Humboldt County Fair


Bleachers are being installed in the spacious new show ring at the Humboldt County Fairgrounds. When completed, the arena is expected to hold 400 people with new sound system and lighting. The 2018 Humboldt County Fair is July 24-30.

There will be entertainment galore
Next Generation Shows returns as the carnival Wednesday through Sunday. They’ll also offer free face painting.
Tuesday night will have harness races with a free gate. Wednesday night at the grandstand will be the Little Miss and Mister Contest, 4-H Style Show and Humboldt County Fair Queen crowning.
Lew-e Clown shows start on Thursday. The free shows will be daily at 2 p.m., 4 p.m. and 6 p.m.
Holly Rocka Rollaz will perform a free show at the grandstand on Thursday night at 7 p.m. Take an authentic trip back to the fantastic 50s. Based out of Minnesota, the band plays Elvis Presley, Buddy Holly, Chuck Berry, Johnny Cash and many more.
The Lucas Oil Tractor/Pickup Pull takes place on Friday night, followed by a local pickup pull.
The 2018 Humboldt County Fair will feature bull riding at the grandstand on Saturday night, July 28.
Rice Bull Riding, founded in 1997, has grown to be one of the largest in the Midwest. In 2015 and 2016 they were chosen as the National Federation of Professional Bull Riders “Producer of the Year.” All of their events are professionally sanctioned with the Central Bull Riders Association.
Following the bull riding will be a free concert featuring Sushi Roll based out of Chicago. Formed in early 2012, Sushi Roll offers a unique blend of high-energy dance music and rock n’ roll.
On Sunday, motocross racing is slated to begin at 11 a.m. The popular Tough Truck competition is slated for 7 p.m. on Sunday night with an auction of chainsaw art during intermission and a fireworks display at the conclusion.
