Wildcats in 7-0 victory at Garner

The Humboldt football team picked up its first win of the season Friday night by shutting out Garner-Hayfield/Ventura, 7-0 in a non-district game at Garner. Humboldt quarterback Jamison Heinz sprinted 56 yards for the score and Lucas Volf booted the extra point late in the first half to lift Humboldt, now 1-1 on the season.
The Wildcats will travel to Storm Lake next Friday, Sept. 7, to face the Tornadoes in another non-district clash.
