Wildcat girls go 2-2 in Mason City tournament

The No. 14 ranked Humboldt volleyball team went 2-2 in the Mason City tournament last Saturday, Oct. 7. The Wildcats lost to Osage (15-21, 9-21) and Waverley-Shell Rock (13-25, 19-25) and defeated St. Ansgar (21-18, 21-14) and Clear Lake (21-10, 21-14). Humboldt is now 26-4 overall on the season.

Wildcat girls shutout St. Edmond in 3 sets
Humboldt maintained its first-place standing in the North Central Conference by shutting out Fort Dodge St. Edmond in three sets Thursday night (Oct. 4) in the Humboldt gym. The Wildcat volleyball team won by scores of 25-6, 25-10 and 25-14. Humboldt improved to 5-1 in conference play.

No. 14 HHS girls sweep Bulldogs in 3 sets
The No. 14 ranked (Class 3A) Humboldt volleyball team improved to 4-1 in the North Central Conference, 23-2 overall, by sweeping Hampton-Dumont in three sets on Oct. 2 at Hampton. The Wildcats prevailed by scores of 25-9, 25-17 and 25-17.

Humboldt will close out its regular season this week when they visit Bishop Garrigan of Algona on Oct. 9 and host Webster City on Oct. 11.
Humboldt will host Greene County of Jefferson on Oct. 17 in a Class 3A Region 3 tournament first round match.
