3rd quarter run lifts Clear Lake past Humboldt boys, 68-51

Clear Lake went on a 13-1 run to open the second half en route to a 68-51 victory over Humboldt in varsity boys' basketball action in the Humboldt gym Friday night (Jan. 4).

The unbeaten Lions were led in scoring by Carson Toebe with 16 points and Drew Enke with 12. Kody Kearns added 11 for the 9-0 Lions, 6-0 and first in the North Central Conference. Calvin Carlson scored 18 points and Jamison Heinz added 17 for Humboldt.
Humboldt is 5-4 overall, 3-2 in the NCC.

Next home action is Jan. 11 against league foe Webster City.
